Our History

In 1960, Mike and Norma Twig purchased the land that would be known as Spring Gap Farm. Their granddaughter, Kina Davis, who spent the majority of her childhood there, has always considered it her true home.

Chance was the inaugural horse that Norma and Mike acquired via trade. Initially a feral horse from a kill pen, Mike undertook his training, and in time, Chance became tame enough to ride.

Between 2005 and 2010, Kina taught riding lessons and served as the head IHSA coach at Wilson College. From 2010 to 2014, she journeyed and trained at various stables across Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and even ventured to California to enhance her skills. In 2014, Kina traveled to Ireland to foxhunt with the finest, continuing her journey and training to become the accomplished and knowledgeable equestrian that is widely respected and adored today.
